The Trust are extremely pleased to announce that Phil Mason won the category for "Governor of the Year" at the award ceremony held at Truro Cathedral on Friday.
The judges said “He has shown enormous commitment in both time and expertise and, in particular, has overcome adversity whilst taking the Trust forward, always putting the needs of the school children first.”
As a Trust, we wish to pass on our many congratulations and deepest thanks to Phil for his time, expertise and commitment to the Trust and all its staff and pupils.
We would also like to pass on our congratulations to Karen Wakefield, from St Columb Major ACE Academy, who was shortlisted in the category for Outstanding Teacher and to St Columb Major Academy who was shortlisted in the category for School of the Year!
Jennie Walker, ACE Trust Executive Principal, said “The wider Trust is fully aware of how fortunate we are to be led by Phil Mason. He is thoroughly deserving of this reward. His vision, energy and skills add greatly to our Trust Board and have enabled us to be the success that we are. Members and Directors give freely of their time as volunteers to support educational trusts and many people take this for granted. This award is a great achievement for Phil and recognises his total commitment to the education of the children in our schools.
Nikki Baron from EMPRA PR and Marketing said “Once again the Cathedral was filled with such worthy winners – it was a fabulous and emotional evening. We hoped that this year’s event would be even bigger and better than last year’s, and it was – I am delighted! It’s one of those properly heartwarming events … when think back and reflect on your experience you can’t help but smile.”
